Fri 15 Aug 2014
In terms of shooting variety, this is probably the busiest day of the DCRA Meeting. The Black Powder and F Class Matches are coming to a close, with their important aggregates now being determined, and the Target Rifle events are getting underway. There are many results in the links below, and I would especially draw your attention to the “BP Grand Agg” and the “FCNC – Canadian F-Class Grand”.
In F Class, the top places in the Open category were taken by Shiraz Balolia, WA, USA, with 664.71, Kenny Adams, FL, USA 662.72, and Marius de Champlain, Rimouski, QC 662.58. In F(F-TR),Will Chou, Aurora, ON 655.54, Jonathan Laitre, Vaudreuil, QC 646.55 and Kenny Proulx, Mascouche, QC 645.51. In the F Class Final, a seeded single range event, the two winners were Eric Bisson, Cochrane, AB 74.8 and James Crofts, VA, USA 73.9.
Top three places in the BP Grand were taken by shooters from the USA: Dave Gullo, ID 268.8, Raymond Hanson, MN 264.8 and Daniel Boyle, ID 252.9.
Tomorrow, in both BP and F Class, there are international team matches, including the F Class America Match. The weather forecast is somewhat tempestuous, so the day could be quite challenging.
The main preliminary TR event was the Ottawa Regiment at 800m. There were 28 scores of 75, with Jon Underwood, GBRT and Des Vamplew now being required to shoot off for 1st place. Both scored 75.13.
The other event now in progress is the “Grand Order of Dinosaurs Challenge”, a.k.a. as the 223/556 Championship. Four ranges were fired today, with one left to finish off the extinction tomorrow.
In the evening is the Meet and Greet Party to bring the shooting fraternity together.
